Claret

Picks
Couloir
–
A very popular bar with the French, English, Danes...well, everyone
really. They do a fantastic mojito and the list of vodka shots is
enormous. There's an impressive whisky selection too. Chris, the owner,
loves his music and makes sure the bar is never short of a top DJ or
band to liven up the party. The mezanine restaurant is equally as
popular, see the 'restaurants' section for more details.
And
the others . . .
Drop Zone
– Lively bar situated next to the slopes. Play pool, drink beer and hang
with your mates. Check out the live music and bands most nights of the
week.
Grizzly’s Bar
–
Fancy sitting round an open fire surrounded by wooden bears drinking a
hot chocolate? Then this ornately decorated bar/shop is probably for you
but beware that you will be paying for the atmosphere.
Le Studio
– A
cozy and cool French bar run by Olivier and his friendly team of staff.
Go there to watch sport on TV in style with a cocktail or champagne
flute in hand. Chill out with a glass of wine and soak up the ambience.
Veronica Snowcafe
–
This bar is crazy. It's dutch owned and run, and if you want to be
transported to another land - one of Flugels, dancing on bar tops and
eurotechno - then this is the place for you.
Saloon Bar - Opening 20 Nov 2008 -
situated where the Restaurant Vietnamien used to be.
The new bar in town with a massive party atmosphere, live music for
apres and a huge cocktail and shot menu. Come and try our tasty food
menu and wash it down with a Saloon Triangle of shooters. A great
hang-out for seasonaires and holiday makers alike.
Open
till 4am. . .
Melting Pot
-
You'll find a good selection of dance music at the Melting Pot - Drum n
Bass, Electro, Hip Hop and fortunately, not too much of the classic
discotheque cheese. The prices are reasonable (for a club), and keep an
eye out for promotion nights: if you're a girl you could benefit from
free champers, and there's always happy hour for the early birds.
Blue Girl
-
This fun and infamous euro club is guaranteed to make you smile. The
club that most people in resort can never remember being in… it’s that
much fun. Watch out for the pole dancing nights.

Picks
L’Embuscade
–Very cool French bar and a favourite of seasonaires of all
nationalities. Go there to hang out, practice your french and make
friends. Great place if you actually want to feel like you are in
France.
Loop Bar
–
The Loop probably has one of the best sun terraces in Tignes. Looking
out over the lake up to the Grand Motte, it's the perfect setting for
your apres-ski beers. There's 2-4-1 on wine and beer at happy hour.
Inside there's a pool table and live sports are shown on TV. The Loop
has great party nights and live music - definitely not your normal cover
bands.
And
the others . . .
Bagus Bar
–
Situated on Rue de la Poste opposite the palafour chair-lift, this cosy
but funky bar is now in it's second year of new management and they've
brought a taste of urban chic to the alps. A mix of cow-hide and chrome
decor, fab cocktails and top DJ's flown in from the uk make this spot
great for a bit of apres-ski, but even better for a late-night party
atmosphere with
Jo and her team.

This is one of those crazy bars that’s always busy and the music is
always pumping. They often have après-ski barbeques and its a great
place for a spending a messy evening dancing in your ski boots.
Alpaka
–
Relax on the comfy sofas and try a few of the renowned cocktails such as
the Tennessee Ice Tea. Popular nights include shot night on a Sunday
(free shot with every drink), and champagne night on a Monday. It’s
always busy and if you like your Saturday afternoons of sport with a
pint and a pie, then this is definitely the place for you.
Open till 4am . . .
Jacks Club
–
For many people in Tignes, this is a bit of a marmite club. Those who
shudder at the thought of dancing round a pole to a bit of 70s disco, a
bit of 80s cheese and a bit of 90s rock all mixed together, then this
probably isn't your thing. Everyone else, we defy you not to have fun
here.

to spend your evenings and the staff are always up for a laugh. There's
an outdoor pool if you're feeling brave too.
Lavachet Lounge -
The
lounge is a little haven from the hustle and bustle of the Tignes
night-life. A cosy gem in the heart of Lavachet, it's your one-stop-shop

alcoholic concoction Rosie has up her sleeve this season. There's also
free internet access and free wi-fi. The perfect place to relax and
