Val Claret -
Bars
Best Picks
Couloir –
A very popular bar with the French, English, Danes...well, everyone really.
They do a fantastic mojito and the list of vodka shots is enormous. There's an
impressive whisky selection too. The mezzanine restaurant is equally as
popular, see the 'restaurants' section for more details.
And the others . . .
Drop Zone – Lively bar
situated next to the slopes. Play pool, drink beer and hang with your mates.
Check out the live music and DJs most nights of the week.
Grizzly’s Bar –
Fancy sitting round an open fire surrounded by fur and drinking hot chocolate?
Then this ornately decorated bar and boutique is probably for you but beware
that you will be paying for the atmosphere.
Le Studio –
A cosy and cool French bar run by Olivier and his friendly team of staff. Go
there to watch live sport on TV in style with a cocktail or champagne flute in
hand. Chill out with a glass of wine and soak up the ambience.
V Bar–
This bar is crazy. It's Dutch owned and run, and if you want to be transported
to another land - one of Flugels, dancing on bar tops and euro-techno - then
this is the place for you.
Saloon Bar –
With sister bars to be found in Val D’Isere and Val Thorens, Saloon bar Tignes continues
to bring the party atmosphere to the Espace Killy. They’ve got some great happy
hour promotions, shots, cocktails and an abundance of Jagermeister ready to
line the bar with Jager Bombs.
Open till 4am. . .
Melting Pot -
You'll find a good selection of dance music at the Melting Pot - Drum n Bass,
Electro, Hip Hop and fortunately, not too much of the classic discotheque
cheese. The prices are reasonable (for a club), and keep an eye out for
promotion nights: if you're a girl you could benefit from free champers, and
there's always happy hour for the early birds.
Blue Girl -
This fun and infamous discotheque is guaranteed to make you smile. The club
that most people in resort can never remember being in… watch out for the pole
dancing and ‘sexy’ nights.
Le Lac - Bars
Best Picks
L’Embuscade –A
Very friendly and relaxed French bar and a favourite of seasonaires of all
nationalities. Go there to play pool, practice your French and get to know the
locals. A great place for an après ski pint away from the crowds.
Loop Bar –
The Loop probably has one of the best sun terraces in Tignes. Looking out over
the lake up to the Grand Motte, it's the perfect setting for your apres-ski
beers. There's 2-4-1 on wine and beer at happy hour. Inside there's a pool
table and live sports are shown on TV. The Loop has great party nights, world
famous DJs and live music - definitely not your average cover bands.
The Marmot Arms - Having firmly introduced themselves in 2011 - 12 as Tignes' premier pub, The Marmot Arms is ideally situated at the foot of the Palafour chairlift, making it an ideal Apres Ski location. Happy Hour deals are de-rigueur and the kitchen is open all day serving breakie baguettes and gourmet burgers. The Marmot also hosts live music weekly, and has pool, Big Buck Hunter and babyfoot to unwind with. Oh and they show all the live sports too... And the others . . .
Alpaka –
Relax on the sofas and try a few of the renowned cocktails such as the
Tennessee Ice Tea in a cosy Alpine atmosphere. Popular nights include Shot Night
on a Sunday (free shot with every drink), and Champagne Night on a Monday. Look
out for their 10€ meal deals.
Open till 4am . . .
Jacks Club –
For many people in Tignes, this is a bit of a marmite club. Those who shudder
at the thought of dancing round a pole to a bit of 70s disco, a bit of 80s
cheese and a bit of 90s rock all mixed together, then this probably isn't your thing.
Everyone else - you’ll love it!
Le Lavachet -
Bars
Best Picks
TC’s Bar –
This bar is a well established Tignes hot-spot. With many years of drunken
debauchery under its belt, from 'Night of a Thousand Shots', to Fetish Night,
and the occasional impromptu food fight, it's a safe bet for a great party. Add
to the mix some gold ole' pub grub, big screen live sports and a Saturday
morning full English, what more could you want!
So Bar - Located in the heart of Le Lavachet, So Bar offers something a little different for the holiday makers and locals in Tignes. Owners JP and Fairy pride themselves on providing produce of the highest quality, served correctly and at a good price. As purveyors of fine wines and spirits, the selection is second to none and we highly recommend you drop in there to sample it for your selves. Whether you're a wine lover, a beer drinker, or a spirit is more your tipple, it's a great place to stray from your normal drinking habits and perhaps try something a little different. As a trained Sommelier, JP will gladly guide you through the history and production of all they have on offer. And the others...
Brasero –
Blending a cosy dining environment with après ski music and live sports, the
Brasero provides a welcoming atmosphere after a hard days skiing or
snowboarding and it's conveniently right next to the main bus stop in Lavachet.
Scotty’s –
Just over the road from the Brasero is Scotty’s bar. It's a lively place to
spend your evenings and the staff are always up for a laugh. They have a great
selection of cocktails - why not request one with your favourite ingredients
and see what they come up with? There's an outdoor pool too if you're feeling
brave.
