Private Transfers

Car Hire: There are a number of options. We recommend CarJet.
Bear in Mind: If you hire a car you may also have to hire snow chains, pay to park the car in Tignes - cost 99€/wk, plus fuel costs.
Flying
The main airport used is Geneva however Chambery, Lyon and Grenoble are also used. As a rough guide: Lots of carriers fly to Geneva and hence you can often get the best prices by flying to Geneva if you hunt around. Geneva also has the most frequent bus service to and from Tignes. Lyon has a number of carriers and a reasonably frequent bus service and can be a good option. Ryanair and Easyjet fly to Grenoble and you can get some good prices however you will need to get a hire car or a private transfer to get you to Tignes. Chambery is the closest airport however you may find it difficult to get a good price.

Altibus offers buses from Geneva to Tignes, Lyon to Tignes, & Chambery to Tignes (Chambery to Tignes - Saturdays and one Sunday service only)
Altibus also offer a bus service from Bourg St Maurice to Tignes
BensBus.co.uk offers a service from Grenoble, Geneva and Lyon Airports
Tip: Book the bus in advance and check time tables carefully to make sure it will fit in with your flights.
Snow Express runs a regular coach service to Tignes Les Lac, Les Brevieres and Val Claret every week throughout the season.The coach leaves from London Victoria Colonnade Coach Station with an additional collection point at Stop 24 Services in Folkstone.

Driving: This normally works out to be the cheapest option. Some people drive all the way in one day, however a stop over in somewhere like Dijon, Lyon or Chambery breaks up the journey nicely. Car Parks: There is plenty of space in Free Parking Areas at les Boisses and les Brévières, however you can pay for convenient underground parking. You can book parking online at www.tignes.net.
Toll Charges in France - French tolls Automatic Tag Payment. A company who supplies a telepeage tag which allow you to pass through the French tolls without queuing. Please see their website for more details on how this works.

Train from the UK: The train is a very good way of getting to Tignes, and there are independent travel and tour operator options that cost around the same as flying (depending on when you book). Trains leave from London St Pancras, Ashford or Ebbsfleet and arrive at Bourg St Maurice . From here you can get a taxi to take you the last 20 miles up to Tignes.
