General Information

These days, ski resorts are so much more than just about the skiing and Tignes provides activities for non-skiers, the injured as well as for those bad weather days. There are also a large number of heart-stopping activities for the crazier among you who like your adrenalin in large doses.


Tignes has an amazing history surrounding the huge Tignes Barrage or dam that you drive over to reach Tignes. The Dam was created 1952  The Heritage Centre in the Maison de Tignes in Le Lac displays photographs of the old village and provides guided tours of the centre for free.

Lagoon Centre

In Tignes Le Lac For some rest and relaxation there is the beautiful new Lagoon centre. This includes a 25-metre swimming pool with stunning mountain views. A sports complex with fitness centre and weight training room equipped with state-of-the-art workout equipment. Spinning (indoor aerobic biking), fitness, cardio-training, swimming and palming classes.

Play pool with counter current pool, bubbling platform, air bubble seat, ‘geyser’ fountain and cascading fountain.

Racer slide outfitted with three 30-metre slides for thrilling descents. Baby swimming classes

Wellness centre featuring multiple bubbling baths, Turkish bath, hot tubs and novelty showers.
The aquatic and wellness centre "Le Lagon" is open from November 26th. Opening times are Sunday to Friday between 11 am to 9 pm and on Saturdays from 2pm to 7.30 pm. Swimming is 4€ per child for a day or 5€ per adult. Use of the spa facilities and pool is 15€ for 1.5 hours. For a more luxurious experience, check into one of the hotel spas: Montana Hotel or Campanules (Le Lac) or Ecrin du Val Claret (Val Claret).

Bad weather days: Pick up a ‘Tignes Animations’ guide for the week’s events. Check out the Multimedia Centre on the top floor of the Maison de Tignes in Le Lac – internet, video games and digital camera downloading facilities are on offer. Alternatively Jacks Bowling Alley (Le Lac) or the Cinema in Val Claret also provide a good bolt-hole.

For a real day off, there are over 60 restaurants and 50 bars available for your perusal. There are also two mountain restaurants accessible to pedestrians:  The Toviere Restaurant at the top of the Aeroski from Tignes Le Lac or The Panoramic at the top of the Funicular from Val Claret, from here you can jump on the cable car to the top of the Grande Motte and take in some of the incredible views. This is also a good place to watch others ski – especially if it’s sunny! 


Val Heliski focuses solely on providing backcountry skiing / snowboarding adventures (with or without the aid of a helicopter) and all types of heliskiing / heliboarding, reverse heliskiing, multi day packages (with or without accommodation), helicopter airport transfers and heli scenic tours for guests staying in the Tarentaise area of the French Alps (including the 3 Vallees, Espace Killy, St Foy and Paradiski), landing in both France and neighbouring Italy, often skiing back into France. Ice Diving


General Information
Explore what lies beneath the ice covering the “Lac de Tignes”. You will go down through a hole cut in the ice (always tethered to the surface - you won’t get lost!) and spend around 15 minutes by the side of the instructor, exploring the magical ice formations. Available everyday from 11h until 16h, from mid-December until early April. No prior experience is necessary. All equipment provided.

Husky Rides


General Information
Get a taste of Alaska on a husky powered sledge whilst taking in the breathtaking mountain scenery. If you fancy something challenging, learn to drive the pack yourself.


This activity takes place two days a week in the resort of either Tignes or Ste Foy. Book upon arrival to avoid disappointment. A half days initiation driving through the forest trails of Sainte Foy. 2h30 of activity.Transport included. Minimum 4 people. Available one day a week. Pass by our office early in the week for the husky schedule.

Ice Driving


General Information
Organised from early December until mid March.
Meeting point: The ice circuit in Tignes les Brévières. Possibility of transport to Tignes les Brévières.
Behind the wheel of a Subaru Justy and Impreza, come and discover ice driving in the hands of our fully qualified instructors (BPJPES Sport Automobile). Test the following techniques on our ice skid pan: emergency braking, lock steering, reverse lock, controlled skidding ...
