RAVELn travelling to Tignes |
 |

|
|
Flying
The main
airport used is Geneva however
Chambery, Lyon and Grenoble are also used. As a rough guide: Lots of
carriers fly to Geneva and hence you can often get the best prices by flying to Geneva
if you hunt around. Geneva also has the most frequent bus service to and from
Tignes. Lyon has a number of carriers and a reasonably frequent bus
service and can be a good option. Ryanair and Easyjet fly to Grenoble
and you can get some good prices however you will need to get a hire
car or a private transfer to get you to Tignes.
Chambery is the closest airport however you may find it difficult
to get a good price. |
|
|
Private Transfers
We currently run a number of vehicles and also work
with other local companies running minibuses which have 8
passenger seats. Book early to
avoid disappointment (especially Sat). The prices are door to door return
prices from the airport to the resort & back to the
airport. Vehicles are predominantly VW Transporters.

Driving: This normally works out to be the cheapest option. Some people drive all the
way in one day, however a stop over in somewhere like Dijon, Lyon or Chambery
breaks up the journey nicely. We have put together an access
map of the basic route that most people use to drive down to Tignes
from Calais.
Click on the ferry logos to check prices & availability.
Car Parks: There is
plenty of space in Free Parking Areas at les Boisses and les Brévières,
however you can pay for convenient underground parking. You can book
parking online at www.tignes.net. |
|
Tignes.co.uk recommend Norfolk Line: As they
normally have the best fares and a great fleet of ships.
